With Venom physically stronger than him, Spider-Man has to take advantage of the symbiote's inherent weakness to loud noises by striking at stacks of beams strewn around the construction site to temporarily incapacitate the supervillain. RELATED: Introducing Spider-Girl Could Be the Perfect Ending to Insomniac's Spider-Man Series While Sandman is preoccupied with Harry Osborn, helping out Peter Parker as the New Goblin, Venom and Spider-Man fight inside of the unfinished building as Eddie refuses Spider-Man's repeated warnings about the symbiote suit consuming him. Eddie's descent into villainy is even more twisted than in the movie, with Venom forcing Sandman to join forces with him by kidnapping Flint Marko's young daughter Penny to force his cooperation.
Mirroring the film, the video game Spider-Man 3 sets its final battle at a skyscraper under construction, with Venom and Sandman luring Spidey there by kidnapping Mary Jane Watson.
